This is a little cartoon that one of the kids created about the properties of air. A parent directed me to this little site and the kids have had a great time creating their own cartoons on it. We always try to keep it educational or at least a cartoon about a story they are writing! It's great for the kids who are finished their work quickly and adds a little enrichement to their program!

Google Reader

Does anyone know if you can create folders in google reader? I have a bunch of items starred that I liked but I wanted to sort them into folders to make it easier.

Wikis

I have tried a couple of other wikis to see which ones I like best. I have just started working with the PB Wiki and so far it is not my favorite. I find it very busy and there seems to be so much going on. I have also tried pikiwiki and found it similar to glogster. It seems more like an online poster but again, I need to work some more with it. We have made some glogs in class using glogster and the kids really enjoy it. I made a Jing presentation for my mom to show her how to upload her photos!! After continuously writing down the steps and her losing them, I thought this might be a nice alternative. We'll see if she can figure out how to open it! Work on my paper is not going well. My internet is down and I have had to go to the school to do some work. Unfortunately, my papers are saved on zotero and on google docs so having no internet access has been a bit of a challenge! I am also finding I would rather go try all the sites and applications we have learned about rather than write another paper! Take care everyone and don't stress too much!

Wikis

Well, I had just started creating a Wiki before I started this course. It is definately a work in progress. I have not set one up for my class yet. I had a web page but, I think I would like to go this way instead. I am going to try a few different options just to see which one I like best. I think I'll maybe get some of the kids to work on the different ones, this is usually when we discover all the possible "bugs"! The link to the wiki I have right now is on the side of my blog under my favorites. It is called Five-a-Day.
